Every now and then, the best team-building doesn’t happen at a desk. It happens out in the open, under the sun, with a bat in hand.

This time, we decided to swap spreadsheets for stumps and head out for a proper cricket match. The moment the idea was floated, the whole office lit up. Everyone was excited, and before we’d even sorted out the logistics, we were already busy with the most important task of all: picking team names.

And that turned into an event of its own. Suggestions came flying in from every corner. Some clever, some completely ridiculous, and all of them hilarious. After plenty of debate and laughter, we finally landed on two names everyone loved: Black Panther and Blue Python.

We took it seriously, too. Custom t-shirts were printed, bold black for one side and bright blue for the other, and handed out to every player. Suddenly it felt official.

On match day, we piled into cars and set off for the ground together, the energy already sky-high before a single ball was bowled.

Here’s how it played out:
Match 3: Black Panther held their nerve and sealed the series.
Match 1: Blue Python took the win and drew first blood.
Match 2: Black Panther struck back to level things up.
